In Season 2, Episode 39 we going to recap the Championship Games and the status of the World Series.

Looking back at this season, I do continue to think that we had some shitty pitching coming out of the Bullpens all year. We will get MORE involved in that in our NEXT podcast as we reveal the stats and disappointing team leaders in the year of “The IMPLODING Bullpens”. Today though, let’s talk about how that topic impacted the outcome of the League Championship series.

Dodgers over the Brewers

I think we saw the igniting of perhaps a new star. The Brewers may have lost the Division Series to the Dodgers 4-0, but Jackson Chourio in his FIRST career postseason stood out. Hitting .389 in 5 games against the Dodgers with 1 HR - Team leading 6 RBIs, .421 OBP, .667 Slugging and a 1.088 OPS he made his mark.

William Contreras at .300 and Andrew Vaughn at .286 were really the only other starters who were productive. Chourio, Contreras and Vaughn were responsible for driving in 13 out of 22 Runs the Brewers scored.

Basically, the Brewers made poor pitching decisions and just did NOT hit like they did in the regular season.
