In Episode 34, Season 2, today we are going to tackle who the Rookie of The Year should go to. It’s the …Rookie of The Year Candidates!
American League
A’s - 1B - Nick Kurtz - 22 Yrs Old
Red Sox - OF - Roman Anthony - 21 Yrs Old
A’s - SS - Jacob Wilson - 23 Yrs Old
There were a good selection of Rookies this year, but I think the main choices in the American League are definitely these 3 players.
Nick Kurtz - Wow, this kid looks good. ANOTHER top player from the A’s. Kurtz made his debut this year on April 23 at 1B. You gotta love his nickname of BIB AMISH. Kurtz at 6’5” 240 lbs. he fits the name. He is from Lancaster, PA big time Amish area. Kurtz has hit the road running all season and has been dominant AND consistent.
Roman Anthony - Damn, another good prospect from the Red Sox. Anthony made his debut on June 9 and made such an impression the Red Sox locked him up to a 9 yr - $130.9 million dollar contract. Kind of rare for the Red Sox to invest so mush in a rookie. Anthony was drafted by the Red Sox in the 2nd Round of the 2022 Draft out of Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS in Parkland, Florida.
